What we do is that we socialize the project with the health centers in Town and they help us with the deworming campaigns. After installation we wait 1 or 2 month to go back to that community to do deworming in coordination with the nurses from the health center. What we are also doing is taking stool samples before installing the filters to measure the impact of the filter in people health.

Now for the vitamins, we also coordinate this activity with the nurses in the health center, we set up a date with the nurses to invite all pregnant or lactating women in the community or communities where we are installing filters and give them 45 mts training of the importance of using vitamins and after that the doctor or nurse takes their name and gives them the first 30 dosis of vitamins and tells them that they have to come for a monthly check up to get the rest of the vitamins ( this way the nurse keeps track of the baby and mother health as well), if they live really far from the local health centers she gives them the 100 dosis  so they could at least come for check up every 3 months.The vitamins are a great complement to the project since most women do not have enough nutrients in their body do to parasites or not eating healthy food due to their poverty. We also use ESCASAL escuela y casa saludable as materials, at the moment I am working with a volunteer from Africa to implement a new curriculum to the Hygiene and Sanitation education and we are also going to include maternal health.
